UPDATE: First place winner of the 2012 Comic Jam #2
UPDATE: Thanks for the Front Page, I fucking LOVE Newgrounds!!!!!

Hello Boys and Girls,

This is my entry for the NEWGROUNDS.COM comic jam #2.
I was the illustrator on this project, and my writing partner was none other than the pornographic prognosticator hims self, Mr. TOM FULP (you may have heard of him). The name of this piece is "RAIN" named after the theme given by Aigis, I had a little bit of a late start (I couldn't start until Saturday, one day after it started), but I worked diligently around the clock, living off of nothing but coffee and peanut M&M's (I don't recommend it), but I finally finished it. Tom sent over two stories, I guess because he wasn't satisfied with the first one he made, but luckily he sent that one too. My only stipulation to him was to keep them real short and simple, about two or three sentences at most, when I read what he sent over I took a couple of hours to decided which to choose and decided to be a little experimental. The two stories seemed to share a linear path, or should I say, I noticed I could force them down the same path. Anyway, my right hand is really sore and my ass is killing me (which I hear is pretty common when working with Tom "drum role please") so I am going to go get drunk and celebrate the end of this ridiculously insane drawling marathon. I can't wait to read all the other entries.
P.S. I love comic books, I think I have a couple thousand...

Lovingly;

lots of meaning

I had little idea what this was supposed to mean or represent, but it's still great to look at. I think its strongest point is how the main character in this looks so good. I don't think that guy was a kid when the comic started because he had a beard. I guess it's a case of be careful what you fish for. I still appreciate this for having some really slick drawings in it. It's good enough for a professional comic book.

Heck, it could even make for a great ironic children's book. I could see this being published. I am so glad you won the award because I've reveiwed so many art pieces where people mentioned they entered a contest and didn't say they won. I guess it's probably meant to be a tale of childhood innocence lost or something? It's still great.

I hate to say I don't really get it :(

Lovely art style, though.

Thanks...
P.s. I don't think there is anything to get :P

Man, this is depressing.

deathink responds:

Thanks?!

I love this. This is just the right amount of surreal. It's effective and concise, it gets its point across with a beautifully minimalistic setup. It seems to say little, but it says a lot. Beautiful work.

deathink responds:

Thank you very much... It makes me very happy when a veteran newgrounder appreciates my work.
