Hmmm

The story I got from this is a father who is emotionally constrained and distant but expresses his love for his child through sexual exploitation because that's all he know's from his own past. The pre-teen (I would have guessed 10-12) knows that the fathers gesture isn't really intended to hurt but it's painful (obviously) nonetheless. Very interesting piece that provokes one to alter their perspective multiple times.

Its hard.

I find it real hard to be serious and emotional in my drawings, you achieve those things in youre work whitout making it feel akward or inapropriate. I admire youre style and would find it nice if maybe some day youll bring out a colored comic in this style.

You definitely take a chance in being serious, because you can always come off douchey or too melancholy, so I'm glad to hear you like these. I'm a big fan of Will Eisner, and his stuff (minus the Spirit) always had a story to tell that had some kind of emotion, I guess that's just the kind of story I prefer telling.
