Hi Jazza and Jazza art friends! Thanks for hosting this contest! I loved this theme because I have a couple things I am afraid of in life and this helped me deal with them a lot! This is my first entry to the contest, so excited to participate!

I have had Coulrophobia since I was 13 after a normal haunted house experience that totally did a number on my brain. After that I couldn't look at clowns in real life or in pics without crying and so on.

I'm also afraid of asphyxia in its various forms, but especially what's depicted here...It's the strangest feeling knowing that someone could end your life this way, or in similar ones, and it is something that very much makes me nervous when I see it in movies or on TV due to an incident several years ago.

This piece is really scary to me, I want to do more to it but I honestly can't look at it anymore so I think it's done it's job, and I feel it works as a finished piece. It got me to draw the closest thing to a clown I have been able to look at in 12 years, and it allowed me to think about the other fear and process a lot of those feelings as I drew it. It was really interesting and totally eye-opening.

The experience of drawing this was empowering, and a bit scary, but I thank you for presenting me the opportunity to find this in myself! That's the best prize of all I'd say! :)
