And I seal the year 2013 with this piece! Collab between me and my sister, Rita Khodor. She took care of the costume design and the overall appearance while I painted the scene and drew her in action! it was incredibly fun to do and we will do that again!
STORY: A rebellious young woman from an aristocrat family. She wanted nothing but to live on the seas away from the life of formalities and social rules. She sneaks into enemy ships and assassinates the captain so her crew can be victorious. Later on, she became a living legend of the pirate seas.

Looks intense, superb job on this action-packed piracy piece!

Forgive me for saying this, but the story sounded a little cliché to me (y'know, the beautiful aristocratic runaway who yearns for more action and violence in her life), but it's good as a base concept and I suppose the artwork is the only thing I'm here to admire.

The 'rising embers' effect is gorgeous, and the way you've merged that with the fiery amber lighting on the character is equally as eye-catching. Also...tell your sister that her costume designing skills are sensational: the gold-trimmed dark brown on the clothing is a winning combination, very rogue-like! The rose tied to her leg gives her that 'venomous beauty' kind of feel. It seems two Khodors working on one piece can make a great deal happen!

Again, this is quite an exciting piece (the 'high seas' perspective and accuracy to the reference is super-cool!), love the sort of motion blur on her dazzling white ponytail and the dagger clamped between her teeth.

Take care, and keep it up!
