Happy birthday once again to Ms. Yumi Rose Ayaka! This year marks the 15th anniversary of her creation back in 2007. (Though the actual date I do not remember, so I'm just using her canon birthday as the date.) It's hard to believe it's been 15 years since her creation and the wild ride of design changes and phases she's gone through over the course of her existence, and I couldn't be happier with how she's turned out in the end.

Some of you may be wondering why I give so much more attention to Yumi than any of the other characters of the Guardians of Aolani cast, so allow me to shed some light on it for you.

Yumi was one the first character I ever created and the one who started my manga drawing hobby to begin with. So she hold a special place above all the other characters. Without her, Guardians of Aolani would not be a thing, all the other characters aside from her in the picture would not exist, and I may not even be here on Newgrounds to begin with!

So once again, I want to congratulate Yumi on her 15 year anniversary. Truly the catalyst that started it all. She is the daughter I will never have, but I love her just like one; and I hope for many more years to come with her.
