Many myths revolve around the hideous creature that once roamed settlements and towns in Ancient Greece, terrorizing its residents by taking them in their sleep and carrying them to its nearby lair where it devoured their flesh and souls completely, only leaving the victims' bones behind.
Some scripts describe the Grimataur as a gigantic bull on two feet, others focus on its bulky body covered in dark scales and its enormous lizard-like tail and still others mention a grizzly bloodstained blade sticking out of its arm.
While some scientists figured the beast was man-made, the most common assumption amongst the townsfolk was that it was sent by the Gods to kidnap those who lived sinful and immoral lives.
Here's my entry for Jazza's Challenge Of The Month (October 2015). This is the first time I entered one of the contests here because the theme was extremely interesting and I love designing monsters so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Good luck to all the participants!
