This one was meant as a submission to a contest. The theme of the contest was rather simple; draw your interpretation of good and evil. Since I didn't want to go the same way as my fellow contestants and use the age old stereotypes (light versus darkness, and so on), I decided to go a little more abstract. Since what is considered good and evil is more or less different from person to person and therefore doesn't really exist (what one may deem evil, may be deemed good by another), I went back the starting point; the fantasyworld of kids playing.

The title stems from a concept in early ludology (the science of play) whom described the magic circle as an imaginary dimension with its own ruleset for those participating in the game they were playing.
