Drawing with Jazza Art Challenge 'Man's Bestfriend'

Decided to go with a warmer color scheme, added more saturation to the image, to try to create a nostalgic feeling - happy memories. I chose pink and green which complement each other nicely and kind of add a playful feel to the illustration as well. I tried to keep the background simple but felt like it was still distracting so decided to lighten it up a bit and added a faint design to focus more on the faces of the girl and dog and less attention towards the car. Overall, I am pretty happy with the way it turned out!

This is me (doesn't really look like me though) and my 10yr Chihuahua named Ernie. He loves to go for a ride! When I ask him 'wanna go for a ride?' he jumps right into my bag! His favorite pastime is licking noses and toes-es! Hope you all enjoy!
