(There is a famous Japanese literary work called "The Spider's Thread".

In the story, a man named "Kandata", who had fallen into hell but had once done a good deed before his death, tried to climb up a thread that Buddha had let down from heaven in recognition of his good deed and go to heaven.

Many other (fallen in the hell) people try to climb...Eventually, the thread will break.

Not just because a lot of people, but because the Buddha was disappointed with their ugly minds... )
