The Promise

In a world where reincarnation is a scientific fact, and where every soul is divided into two bodies, a boy has lost his soul mate. He had waited for 17 years for his reincarnation only to realize that the new person is nothing like the old one. What is left but to hope for a miracle? Perhaps the Goddess has one up her sleeve...

Digital painting (Photoshop, Wacom tablet), photo background (3 images, all by me). Three days of work.

Well done..

I do find Svenisgod to be a stereotype just cause he has a collar and looks like a girl Doesnt mean he IS a girl small breasts would point that out...Plus i love to be submisive So i knew right off the bat it was a guy submissive can go both ways...It would be nice to see where the end of the chain leads or what he is stairing at but that is the mystry of most paintings...I wish i had your talents 10/10 for doing a great job ^^

Citrina responds:

Awww you are just so sweet, thank you. There is a looong story behind this, I've been writting it for years and I'm still not done. Wish I could write as fast as I draw... more or less))

amazing but..

The art is incredible truly great. I especially like how well they hands were done. but.. is there something i dont understand? This is supposed to be a boy isn't it? well.. why is he wearing girls clothes? why does his face look like a womens and the hair. the only thinbg that stops this person from being female is the lack of breasts.

Don't get me wrong this drawing is amazing. the shading is perfect but i just dont understand why this persons gender is.... unknown.

also his chest looks a little strange like it doesnt curve around at the right arm and there isnt enough shadowing. or maybe its just that his nipple is too far over.

Citrina responds:

Thank you for your time and effort.
The thing about gender is - I dislike stereotypes. Very much. I dislike all that "girls wear dresses" and "boys don't cry" crap, and the declaration of everything out of that stereotype as unpretty or abnormal. The thing is, people are different. There are boys who look like girls and girls who look like boys, and I say - good thing.

To sum up: I draw boys feminine sometimes because that is the way I like them.

I'll try to put together some links and photos and make a post with my favorite real-life boys, so please visit my news page next week or so. In the mean time, you can google for some pics of Roger Garth, he's gonna be number one on that list.
