The Abysmal Demon of Hair

my second coloured chaos drawing.. done by closing your eyes scribbling pure emotion through your arm onto the page, opening your eyes and fleshing out what you see. The interesting thing about this method is there are so many lines that you literally don't know the end result until it is finished - so here you go - "the abysmal demon of hair" :)

interesting story about this.. I actually did this in highschool in a very angry period of my life.. I scribbled all my hate and frustrations into it.. and for the longest time I couldn't even bear to look at it as those emotions wafted off the image in waves.

When I went to colour it however, I attempted to inject more positive energy into it and I feel a lot of that hatred was nullified into a more interesting and balanced work. The work has a fire element to it, with hair the colour of blood, with a green almost grinchlike feel ot the skin. He has a purple cloak wrapped around him which his long pointy fingers are shredding, where paths of glittery dark and light feed into him from a fiery cosmic source.

done with anime and indian inks.
