Shadowwalker the Divine Dragon

Author Comments

these pics were mostly all done about 5 years ago - please don't tell me "what to change" in them - they are all done on paper, and thus CAN'T be changed - I don't want your suggestions for improvement - I just want your opinions on the work.

shadowwalker is alpha and omega - the beginning and the end. it is the hysical manifestation of chaos its scream will shatter the minds of souls - it has control over time - its breath attach is like a beam cannon of pure energy that slices through anything , ANYTHING, it touches and keeps going until it reaches the end of the universe - its craws and scales are forged of the hardest material in the universe andits eyes can bore into your soul.
it was the first ever dragon that roamed the cosmos until god caught it and fragmented its soul - using the pieces to create millions of smaller dragons that we have seen throughout our history. It can only exist again after every dragon on earth has deid and its soul pieces are reunited - during which this time all the collective hatred for humans fostered by each individual dragon will boil inside the eternal dragon and enraged he will destroy the human race. After which he will continue to roam the cosmos - he has so feelings for humans whatsoever.
This is the first entirely made up full dragon i have ever drawn, and i hope you like it!

If you can draw this well in real life then you are gifted!

Chronamut responds:

Thanks man! Currently in the process of restoration - you can view the progress here :P

thanks for the review!

That's one awesome dragon. I like the way the tail seems to pop out from the rest of the pictures. (Almost as if it were 3-d.)

Chronamut responds:

yeah good ol' forshortening - I am actually worknig on restoring this pic so all the black will have dimension and gloss to it and everything will be shaded properly :)

thanks for the review!

This dragon is just absolutely fantastic

Sharp, confident lines, excellent scale patterns, good proportions, etc. There's nothing wrong with this drawing at all. Maybe the foot is little unsurely-drawn, but it's a small thing. Overall, this is great.

I guess as a bit of general advice, I'd say, don't submit old work to the art portal that you aren't proud of; you don't have to submit everything you've done, as you're a lot better of an artist now than you were then, so why should people judge you based on your old work? Submitting amazing old work like this dragon makes sense, of course.

Chronamut responds:

I dunno - I like submitting all my work - it gives people a range of stuff to look at - and it also helps them to see how much I have improved, providing they read of course and realize its an old submission :)

and ya the foot is a little lighter than the rest - I see that now..

I should focus on actually DRAWING new stuff hehe :P

thanks for the review!

Just Awsome!

Your really good I don't know why you'd want to change any of your artwork their all great. Keep it up!

Chronamut responds:

well some people have claimed that I have some anatomy and compositional difficulties - granted in some of the pics I did- but they also don't bother to read the time frame of when I did those specific artworks - I don't submit these in any particular order - theyve all been done over a time frame of 10 years, so knowing when something was done is a good indicator of my progress - if it looks crappy it was prolly done years ago :)

thanks for the review!

The first art on Ng and the best!(for now, maybe)
Very good !

Keep it up
5/5 98/100

Chronamut responds:

*first dragon*

mine is directly inspired by the dragons of dragonlance, so a dragon of this calibre is unlikely to come anytime soon :)

and why only 98? ;)

thanks for the review!
