Time for some more fanart for Gurren Lagann, probably my favorite anime of all time.
Honestly, every time I watch the show, it breaks my heart to see Nia essentially die. I understand the themes and message the show is pushing, but fuck does it hurt. I not only relate so much with Simon, but I just think he and Nia have this perfect romance that fits snug in the midst of giant robot fights and manly declarations.
When I first saw Gurren Lagann on Sci-Fi so many years ago, I had no doubts in my mind that I couldn't draw anything close to this. XD But now, I'm happy to be able to immortalize these two by my own hand.
