A moment for Henry

A thing as solitude doesn't have to be a bad thing. Some times it can be nice when the world is just a little quiet. When all the noise of those ever grinding gears just lessens to a quiet hum.

Stillness can be enlightening. That's the thing of it, it gives you time. Time to appreciate the nuance of what you're seeing, what you've heard, what you're tasting.

I know we're all having at it these days, moving quickly, doing our best. I feel like sometimes though we're so busy, and being that busy...things have a way of passing us by. We hear the words but don't have the moment to spare thinking on what they mean to us.

It's okay for us to challenge ourselves. I feel that we do seemingly on a daily basis actually. There are however different kinds of challenges for us to explore. Cultivating stillness, searching deep inside ourselves to understand and reflect on our feelings, for which they do matter, and acknowledging we are good people, is a challenge worth taking.

It reminds me of a saying, actually one I'm rather fond of. When the water is ever so moving, you will find its surface clouded from the dirt and other debris. When stilled, things tend to settle and you may witness not only that which rests at the bottom, but also the reflection of that on its surface.

You're a good person, and I know there is only so much time in this world. So I hope you will have some of that time for yourself to indulge in that patience. Have some tea, put on some calming music. There are great things in you waiting to be discovered.
