Here's a mermaid I did just now. I was told she looks like a Yoen so that be her name. I might take it down and repost with a tad more polish.

Hot stuff in the water!

The pose is great but the face shes making is what makes it worth the while....

:) let it fly..

you obviously like it enough to post it, and I say it doesn't need any polishing.

ps: move on and show us something new with what you learn from this one. :)

Maybe it's me but this looks like it's photoshopped to death. The various colors don't do anything for the submission, other than crowed it up. The color of her tail and the sky match up, but since the tail takes up such a large portion of the submission, it really takes away from the colors in the sky. I also found the rocks to be a tad bit odd shaped, and if anything rushed. You don't get a sense that she's in the water for one thing, and all in all it's not that great of a submission. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not impressed with this one.

CaffeiNix responds:

Yeah. I wanted to paint up a backgroud to establish that she is, in fact, sitting on rocks above water but I was feelin' lazy. The colors don't balance out well and I really should have just left it unfinished.

Keepin it simple

I love the simplicity of the background and colouring. Very loose yet effective. I love her curves, and the simple shading you used. Awesome job, keep up the good work.

i dig what's gong on in the sky there.
is this painter?

CaffeiNix responds:
