The Coming of Cthulhu

Share

Two hundred thousand years ago, when the Great Old Ones came down to Earth and tried to subjugate the ascending species of Homo sapiens, they may not have necessarily been greeted with open arms. At least not once early humanity realized what the Old Ones were really up to.

This was a scene that came to mind after I recently reread The Call of Cthulhu. The Great Old Ones are supposed to have come down to earth sometime long before recorded history, so I wondered how prehistoric humans would react to these cosmic monstrosities trying to enslave them.

Really nice art

And here you have some really nice and smooth artwork don't think I have seen some of your stuff before but I really like the smoothness of it all how can we Improve on something so good maybe we can't but if anything the tip of the Arrowhead could have a sparkle

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Nice art here I could only come up with a sparkle on the Arrowhead

~X~

I like but as the leader of the cult of the tentacle am fairly upset that cuthulu is stabed
(you can ing ok re r he cuthulu part it's really nice)

With those round eye, and maybe lack of sharp features (except a few veiled teeth), it somehow doesn't seem very menacing, that big green squiggly thing! Looks interesting though; interesting backstory.

BrandonP responds:

Yeah, I'm not 100% satisfied with Cthulhu's design himself. Lovecraftian monsters can be challenging to design particularly because they're supposed to be so terrible to look at. Thanks for the crit!
