When I drew Enma in 2015 I thought I was as good as I was ever gonna get at drawing, which in retrospect was a bad mindset to have.
Last night at around 1am I decided to redo the drawing and see what happens. I think it turned out pretty well and it's a good gauge of my progress over (roughly) a year and a half.
I want to do some proper line work for the new one instead of a rough painting, but this is what it is at the moment.
- I used the same references for both, there's not many decent official arts of Enma in good positions.
-I tried to use some of the colors from the original drawing, but also used plenty different ones.
-My biggest gripe with the new one is the left arm. The fist itself isn't too bad, but where his gauntlet connects to the rest of his arm kinda throws me off, I'll have to fix it when I do the final lines for it.
Thanks for reading all of this if you did, feel free to leave any feedback.
Also I have a twitter to shill if you're into that thing. https://twitter.com/brandonisnear
Oh yeah, Enma is from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (manga only)
