Good boy, this was a doozy! When the prompts were first revealed in September and I saw this, I really wasn't sure I could pull it off. And I was still at a loss when today rolled around.
But I rose to the challenge, stepped out of my comfort zone and did something I hadn't done before: realistic fur in ink. The result is not the most amazing thing in the world — the facial proportions are a bit off, for example — but I'm very proud that I managed to complete this in the end.
It also serves as a nice call back to the one time my neighbor's fully grown husky jumped up to try and kiss me after meeting me for the first time, and I wasn't even slightly fazed. That was how I knew that I was comfortable with dogs, even large ones.
