Miriam~ Portrait

Share

A portrait of Miriam I did last year that is pretty much a redux for "Miriam~ first concept." I spent a lot of time creating her story as I don't even recall she had much of one in the beginning besides being a vampyre. I still kept that aspect, except that the vampiric traits of Penumbra are more along Stoker's imagining, but removed form being undead cursed by God, and needing blood.

I'll avoid ranting on that for now, but Miriam's story became very important wit how the Arcturus bloodline is a central part of the first books of Eternity. As for Miriam herself, I kept her overall look as there was nothing I wanted to change about it. Cachusa had to be kept close to resembling her mother and I tried to keep in mind some semblance with the rest of the Arcturus, even if minimal or more in personality traits. Manalodia (who I have yet to draw) will be a male version of Miriam in how closely they resemble on another.

I love the face, she seems like one judgmental woman. These stories seem to be getting more and more complex.

BluMiu responds:

Hahaha! Just wait until I do the updated portrait with her story, she has no place to be judgmental. She may in fact be one of the most complex characters on her own, but yeah, I've tried to go in-depth with the world building as much as possible. Her attire and bearing does make her come off as haughty, but she is a seamstress and turning over a new leaf from...a very "loose" life choice ;)
