All that is known of this being is that it was brought forth or called upon by Moon Sect and the Vermilion Mother, presumably Agratbatmhalat itself given correlations between them. Speculation on both Vladmir and Adriana's part suspects if that this entity may have been involved long before, to the time of Calamus Arcturus, as he was said to bargained with forces beyond to harness the abyss. Vladmir is more willing to accept there is little to nothing capable of stopping them, so will use their powers to his ends.

Agratbatmhalat first manifests within Miriam when the Penumbra hunters village was wiped out. Other instances of it have been relegated to a dream realm, visions putting Miriam and Viktoria's consciousness within reach at different times. Manalodia tells Viktoria it is to drive the two apart until so divided it can stand in the gap, controlling both fully. It is never revealed as of yet Manalodia's connection or awareness to Agratbatmhalat, yet the Scarlet Queen glyph is another undeniable link that Vladmir hopes to obtain and unravel.

As for the being itself, simply controlling Miriam is not the goal, but an avatar or catalyst in a process.
