The Khisaly (Mary's race) are an interesting bunch with plethora of unfortunate implications if we try to apply the morals of their culture, society and even biology to human ones. or well, it used to be.

Their species is divided in 3: Males, queens and drones, a common theme on Hive like insect races, A queen mates with a male and as a fruit, the queen lays dozens and dozens of eggs. Queens are very intelligent and are the rulers of their species, seeing males as nothing more but tools to continue their rule as they are the only means they have to obtain an endless supply of servants, which brings me to the drones.

Drones take 5 years to fully grown into adult hood and live for a standard of 30 years, they are usually named willing slaves despectively by other aliens for a reason, by nature they are wired to obey, to do everything their "queen" commands even if its dangerous to their health, despite the fact that they are beings with intelligence, emotions and ability for thinks for themselves. Serving brings to them an incredible feeling of satisfaction, not willing to rebel even if the one they serve is abusive towards them.

The Khisaly society used to be one that practices eugenics, a lot of males and queens are born, but only those that presents a positive net gain in the genetic department are allowed to reproduce, in and overall, it was a culture that practiced in active Slavery thanks to their evolutive roots as a hive insects aliens species... At least until Lord Dokuro came to conquer them.

Drones can be free if they are nurtured to be their own beings, while they often never seeks position of power in Lord Dokuro's Empire, they usually obtain roles that offers more dignity than their queens would offer them back in the hives.

However their eggs are often used as very ilegal contraband as they make for perfect slaves if raised in a certain way.

So right now their home world under heavy surveillance, to prevent this from happening.
