A somewhat experimental animated 100x100 pixel icon commission, for Roshiyu. A rat wizard person plays around with a little blue fireball FOREVER.

Feel free to send me an inquiry if you are interested in one also, but be aware that the 24 frame ones I typically do have an average cost of about $50, and something like THIS would run more than that.

Such an interesting animation, and so smooth too!

This is my favorite thing you've made so far

bimshwel responds:

Thank you for saying so! this is not something I would have been able to make previously.

The level of quality on this animated pixel art gif is outstanding! What program you made for doing this?

bimshwel responds:

I made the three base poses in paint shop pro 6, (from 1999), but for this many frames I knew I needed something more efficient, and ideally with a layered timeline, and Aseprite seemed to be a big improvement, overall, for this task.

This is absolutely gorgeous! This just has so much character to it! You have a great sense of colour as well!
I would just recommend being careful of things like banding and stray pixels. Keeping stuff like that in check can make pixels look a lot cleaner and will also help with animating!
