This character was made with the idea of tieflings tending to be evil in mind
I interpret it manifesting as a medical issue, where tieflings tend to have higher chances of developing sadism.
I like playing Akiata because she can fit into any genre with guns and/or trains. Cowboys, pirates, sci-fi, steampunk etc. Though it’s a little hard to keep her from being max edgelord, I try to make her a weirdo most times
Here’s her backstory if ya care, feel free to critique my art and writing:
“Deep in a snowy mountain village, there was an old man sitting behind the counter of his sweets shop.
He heard the door open and looked up to see a young girl, 3 to 5 years old, hellish red and holding her hands behind her back.
“Ah, hello, little one. Are your par-”
“Gimme candy!”“Now, now, where are your manners?”
The child pointed her oversized pistol at the old man. “Candy!”
“Ah. I see.” He said before selling her as a child soldier for 50cp and a sack of potatoes.
The tiefling child named herself “Akiata” while trying to remember if her name was “Alisa, Anisa, Emelia” etc.
She named herself “Blublood” after she tripped getting onto the train and finding out the color of her blood.
The years of getting traded around mercenary companies were quite hellish, but Akiata was an optimist! Any time she felt sad about her life, she thought to herself: “Well, at least I get to torture people.”Akiata’s sadism manifested quite early, making her perfectly suited to the role of interrogator.
Akiata met a good person, a rarity in the field of mercenary work. Akiata admired her for her strong sense of mortality, and how everybody praised and relied on her.
This person made Akiata reflect on her own actions, asking herself how she could be more like that person.
Mercenaries are scum, hired by scum to kill scum, but Akiata wanted to be better than them all.
So she formed her own morality system to abide by! It’s missing any kind of axioms but she’s got the important stuff like:
“Don’t laugh when children get hurt even though it’s really funny.”
“Men and women of all races equally deserve death.”
“Only immoral people should be tortured to death.”
Yes, she’s really shaping up to be quite the upstanding person, isn’t she?
Akiata is better than demons, for unlike her, they give into their desires because they're weak.
Akiata is better than angels, for unlike her, they didn’t have to work to become good.
Reformed in her own eyes, Akiata’s on the prowl for a band of fellow heroes to join, so that they can help become the best person she can be.”
