Celie dresses up as gaming's favorite witch!
Interesting story behind this one. I needed to draw something for International Rabbit Day (Sep 26) , but then the Festival of the Moon and the Super Blood Moon were set to happen the NEXT NIGHT.
Celie as a character already has a moon motif. I like to call her "Jaded Rabbit" as a pun on "Jade Rabbit," of East Asian folklore, which is said to live on the moon making mochi or elixir. I figured I would take it a little further and have Celie dress up as Bayonetta, who also has a moon motif. I thought about using Iori Yagami with the whole moon and Riot of the Blood thing, but I figured classy and stylish were more in line with Celie's style... Though, I do hear Iori reads Shakespeare...
Anyway, enough rambling, hope you enjoy!
I inked and colored the flats for this piece. My goof friend and conspirator Nannercoco had to help me with the moon and lighting, because I can't figure that out to save my life. Check out her art here!
