Page 5, chapter 2

Leila and Valentine make their return! This page took me a bit longer then I expected mostly due to the time invested in inventing a full town. I've always known in my head the theme Corsekha Point would have as a very compact small fishing/farming town built high on the top of an ancient Corto vine (More later about these fiddle head looking things.) The problem was that I wanted to make sure the town actually had a proper layout. So I spent some time looking into how towns grow, and what cities that have gotten too crowded but have little income to compensate. So I drew up a couple city maps and then found the perfect angle to view the workshop where Leila has been living for an establishing shot.

Speaking of establishing shots, I'm sure by now people have noticed I always have a full bleed panel that encompasses everything in the image. I do this to show where the scene is taking place, usually this panel is more zoomed out then others allowing the reader a better view of the environment.

For those of you who have seen my "Zelotians In Corsekha" painting, that actually is a scene outside the town on the edge of the Corsekha Crater that the Corto Vines grow in. Corsekha Point, is closer to the center of the crater, where the mother vine grew.
