A few years ago, for the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, I illustrated collections of its creatures. First the ones from the '60s, then the '70s, then the '80s, and lastly Russell T. Davies' era. But they were a bit rushed and I missed a few aliens here and there. I wanted to make certain I drew EVERY televised creature, no matter how fleeting or irrelevant. Not necessarily counting aliens that looked like humans or just had a painted face. I also wanted fix up some of the sloppy ones I drew before.
So this is the reMASTERed version of the 1960s drawing. In it is EVERY creature televised on Doctor Who between 1963 and 1969. Including An Unearthly Child and The War Games and every story in between. There weren't monsters in some of those stories, but I still threw in someone or something from those.
Next week will be the new version of the 1970s. Week later, new version for the 1980s. Week later, new version of the RTD era. Then at the end of the month, a completely new supersized illustration for Steven Moffat's era, right up to 2017.
NEXT WEEK: THE 1970s
