That's a really cool subject and execution - smooth shading, clever composition over all, nice color balance and symmetry - I love it! Keep it up and thanks for sharing :)
Dead Heroes Photoshop Painting

This project was my first time seriously painting in Photoshop, since college. I tend to typically use Illustrator as my go to when creating artwork. After seeing numerous speed painting videos online, I decided I wanted to digital painting a try.
I have a very long list of personal projects I would like to complete. It seems to be growing faster than I can complete them. I decided to pick something from that list, instead of pitching the idea to a client.
Once my personal project was chosen, I began following a few different Photoshop painting blogs, to grasp the idea of how the look I was going for would be achieved. Within three days I was ready to begin and within 3 sittings equaling 10 hours, the project was finally finished.
Painting in Photoshop allowed me to grasp even more tools and expertise in a program that I thought I knew very well already.
Currently this piece of artwork is for sale as art prints, pillows, clothing and phone cases. Potential markets are to 40 and younger gamers who enjoy the now retro 8-bit gaming era of the 80's, sale of the products in video game stores and of course the online marketplace.
