"Over the mountain's peak, a clear twenty feet at least, was a colossal head. In conjunction with the Equestria-shaking crashes, it rose and then fell, rose and fell. From where they stood, staring up in awe, they saw that whatever it was, it bore resemblance to a monumentally sized turtle. Behind its head loomed a shell, as thick as a cliff-side. It neck stretched out from the shadows of it, and was covered in wrinkled yet taught scaly skin. The face, which was lowered slightly as though the thing were half asleep, was so lined with age that they almost looked like deep cracks in a ridiculously huge statue. Its large black eyes, small on its face, glowed with a dim, supernatural light, one of them blinking slowly from behind a humungous rounded glass as thick as a brick wall, and framed with gold. With a long golden chain the girth of red-wood trees, it looked like a monocle."
