Hydroelectric Coast

Share

Trying to get better at environment art. I like futuristic looking beaches.

As a side, the idea of this being a "hydroelectric dam" was utter coincidence. I didn't know what I was drawing for the most part.

EDIT: My first art frontpage :o Thanks!!

Amazing. Really detailed. 5/5

Amni3D responds:

Thanks! However I don't think I was good about implying texture outside of the island, though.. Next time!

You deserve these 5 stars good sir. I love it, it's beautiful. my favorite part about this is the perspective as well the color.

Amni3D responds:

I used Blender to get the perspective down for the road in specific. I'm not a perspective god (yet!).

I appreciate it! Gotta make more. Lots of ideas for cool environments, but these take so much time..

Love it. I'm really into strong atmosphere using simple rendering, few small details, several colours and high saturation. I'd kill for more environmental design akin to Mirror's Edge.

Amni3D responds:

Mirror's Edge 1 I think was about as perfect as you can get for that setting. I wish that game had mapping support..

(And thanks a lot!)

evangelion moment

Amni3D responds:

I definitely need to watch that.. Lots of cool designs.

Hey, nice! Really detailed and clean.

Amni3D responds:

Well, it could've used more micro detail. I really wanted to have a thick tube going along the ceiling, but it kind of took time to figure out. It's an element that makes every tunnel or road look 500% cooler :p
