My style - South Park - Watterson - UPA - Fleischer - Bluth

There was a li'l challenge on Twitter, to draw your OC in different styles, and I gave it a whirl. I had a lot of fun with this, because I looked at it as an exercise in deconstruction. It was more than just drawing Godzina in different aesthetics; in a way, it kinda helped me understand my own. Because of that, I chose to do my style last.

My favorite to do was the Bluth style. It was actually kinda difficult to really find that sweet spot, as Bluth mostly specialized in non-human characters, and I didn't simply want to draw, say, a green Princess Daphne with a tail. I considered heavily referencing Akima from TITAN AE, but Godzina is a bit too outlandish for the "realistic" look. (Not to mention I really wanted to capture some of that trademark mouth Bluth characters have.) What really helped things fall into place was the thought that Godzina would want to play a villainous role in something, lol. I even considered going full goblin mode (well, troll mode) basing her on Gnorga from A TROLL IN CENTRAL PARK, but I really liked how this turned out.
