This is my original kaiju, Fierodon (fee-arrow-don). His name means "Fierce Tooth".

Obviously, I wanted to make my own "Godzilla", but I didn't want him to feel like a total ripoff. I envisioned him as a "knight in shining armor" of sorts, having a fierce loyalty to protecting humanity...but in a modern world, he's seen as just another monster that needs to be destroyed. I had a bit of fun playing with some of the typical tropes of a saurian creature - instead of green, he's red; instead of giant back spikes, he only has the blades on his shoulders; instead of spitting fire, he uses it like a melee weapon (he throws fireballs and forms "swords" from his arms).

His big claim to fame was making it into the (unfortunately ill-fated) Colossal Kaiju Kombat card game. Frankie Washington made some fantastic art of him for it.

Since then, I've really wanted to get back to him and actually DO something with him. He's got some potential that needs exploring.
