Now you did something right and that is to make the drawing feel warm and peacefull, Moving away from my monitor and seeing all these really well chosen colors and the pose of the gymnast in the middle is just: Wow
Everything is just so elegant, however when taking a closer look, you can start to see the little flaws of the painting. For instance, you can see that the details on the hand are not that good, you cannot really distinguish any fingers, or like, feel the grip that the athlete has.
The left foot is just perfect, you see it curved up, performing an effort, and the right one, just like the hand is not that detailed, it is slightly bigger, and does not appear as realistic. The face tho is pretty decent, overall you did an awesome job.
The things that I pointed out are like I said, Little flaws, nothing major, it does not ruin your work, just don't worry, I sound maybe harsher than what I want to be Ha. You definitely made me feel something with your painting, even tho I know nothing about gymnasts, it is great work.
Good luck for the future
Thank you for taking the time to respond and critique my painting, it's very appreciated. I totally get what you are saying about the lack of detail. This was a painting where I really just wanted to have fun with it. I tend to take too long on my digital paintings, second guessing everything I do so that I can't move forward with it. Which means it ends up taking me a whole week to finish one. This was done in 3 hours, which is just crazy for me! Haha Anyway, thank you again for your critique. :)
This is excelent! :)
Thank you!! :D
