Finally, I am sharing the nemeses that I never have before.
ContraTempts: A portmanteau contretemps, contrast, temporary and tempting. Contretemps is a dispute or unfortunate occurrence, a sort of opposite to saying "Godspeed". Everyone is a contrast to each of the main team members. Similarly, they work as a temporary hire, like an assassin, mercenary, etc. The main team - named 'Godspeed' as it means 'wishing good blessings on a journey' - do something similarly, but this team does it for the opposite reasons.
ATO: the robot made by Vincent and counterpart to Terri. It has a soulless, uncaring and obedient personality - if you could call it that. The thing is a prototype for the robot army that Vincent so wishes he could have, but the logistics for the factories would be too near impossible. The 'skin' you see was part of another attempt where he would make androids to infiltrate, but he wasn't about to give it a "real" personality. Rather, Vincent prefers something that just does what it is told to do.
"Shade": the assassin/thief for hire and counterpart to Zack. He also has a calm and laid-back demeanor, but that has more to do with him hiding his - or her - identity. "He" always wears masks, whether it is the half-and-half masks he usually has or a disguise. The only reason he hasn't infiltrated the team and taken them out is Zack's uncanny ability to sniff out danger and acting. It also doesn't help that he doesn't fully understands the team's individual personalities and might fall into stereotyping. Otherwise, he or she is very effective at doing his/her job, though he puts more emphasis on melee than guns and little on safety. He is here to get the job done quietly, not to alert others of danger.
Candice: Generally, I decided to avoid the already common trope of "sex sells", but that takes a back seat for her. Not that it isn't obvious. She isn't afraid to use her seductive nature to lure in victims, like some sort of succubus or femme fatale. However, she isn't all looks, for she is also a skilled and well knowledged chemist and even a medical doctor- well, sort of. She's more of a pharmaceutical scientist and cosmetic/plastic surgeon. Rather than going and treating the affliction the proper way, she "covers it up" through cosmetic means and harsh drugs. Really, she is an embodiment of "beauty is only skin deep." Very much the counter to Aisha. Look at the two. Majority of straight males - excluding those enamored in a very specific fetish - would rather make out with Candice (I even admit that I also "enjoy" looking at her). You see, it is actually Aisha that would make for the best mate for the whole reason for sex. We are supposed to pick those who would be best for offspring, yet Candic can't do that - she is "baren". Even if she could, her body is an absolute wreck, yet the same surgery and drugs that ruined her, she also uses to keep her "strong". Looks like beauty really is skin deep.
VINCENT;
The main man and he prefers to be. But what does it mean to "be a man"? To be boastful, in control, stronger and better than everyone else? He seems to think so, unlike his counter, Dag. He would rather blame others than to ever admit he was wrong. Controlling is what he also prefers to do. This is the only reason he has the others around. They are less of a team and more along the lines of being tricked into working towards a common goal. If Vincent could, he would have them replaced with unwavering obedient robots or mind control. Speaking of robots, he is less of a manly man than he would ever admit, for he is more of a skilled "computer nerd", hence the robot. Often uses high-tech devices and modified guns. His hand has a device that is great for keeping his hand steady when working with sensitive electronics - or shooting at people. The same arm has an arm band computer for various purposes, including remote control. If he could, he would replace everyone with robots of perfect obedience, but they will have to for now, including taking the blame for mistakes - if it wasn't for others, his work would be flawless.
Herm: "a stiff obstinate person", the counterpart to Hold. Unlike Hold, his serious and emotionless character is because he is uncaring and bitter. He doesn't care if you are white, black, male female, or anything else - he hates you all. The only one he looks out for is himself and you better stay away. Lives a life of a hermit in the wilderness and is quite adept at trapping, poaching and fearmongering to keep everyone away. That last one is likely why Vincent has any likening for him, as he keeps people away, along with not staying around to be an annoyance. If you do manage to pass all of his traps and scares, then he isn't afraid to use lethal force. Usually in the form of outdated tech, from antique guns to a big stick, though his most feared item is a mysterious "battle-hardened" blade. Either way, he prefers to stay away and best you do the same.
Sid: (nicknamed "Six", for unknown reasons, possibly his initials?) On another male stereotype, he is all about being big, strong and tough, yet that is not what he thinks of himself. Well, sort of. He is strong and aware of it but believes that flesh is weak. Thus, has a selection of armor to protect his own flesh. Along with that, he isn't afraid to seek "help" from Candice. You know, in the whole body modifications and enhancement drugs ways. Seems to always be wearing some form of armor, even if it isn't obvious. It should be obvious that his counter, Tilda, is also very strong. Alas, he falls for the stereotype that "women are weak", often leading him to misunderstand his foes. You would think someone that believes that flesh is fragile would play it a bit safer, but that's not what big, strong men are supposed to do...supposedly.
These characters may be out for hire, but it is never recommended, even if you have similar motives. It is also never recommended to think they are disposable goons - Vincent seems to always have an escape plan, having planned for other's mistakes, and none of them are afraid to dispose of you if you try disposing of them. Try to get out of paying and you will pay with your life.
(That was a lot more fun to write than expected.)
