The Bird Woman

This one was really fun to do. Unlike anime, cartoon, movies, games, etc... books are always more open to for interpretation, and that includes the characters. Sometimes our mind even ignore some details said in the book and add some random ones and we create our image for those characters.

I love Neil Gaiman's works, i'm currently reading American Gods (i wish i finished it before the series came out, but, well, with one episode a week no way i can get spoilers), but i did read Anansi Boys first, which should be done the other way i think (but, at least for now, it didn't affected my experience at all). It's really good to read, the way Neil Gaiman writes fantasy is amazing, it has some of the magic that was lost in the time of the fairy tales, but mixed with some modern tones.

In Anansi Boys [spoilers] there's this Bird Woman, a goddess of the very very old times, and she happens to be a villain, and i love villains, and she's really unique... i mean, no many villains would attack you with a horde of angry flamingos.....[spoiler end] so i tried to draw her as i saw her when i was reading. Really liked the result.
