 To have someone from another country, especially country known for it's art and spectacular landscapes, ask you for a piece of art that reflects their love for their country and music and traditions was just what I needed as an artist looking to broaden the horizons of his content. 

How can you tell you’ve struck gold as an artist?

When an Asian comes to you, and your an American, and asks you to draw one of their favorite Icons.

I used the red, blue, and gold of the Philippine flag and the sunflowers are a symbol seen in their landscapes.

It should remind her a lot of her home. Taking on this project allowed me to learn a lot of who Vanessa Mae is: apparently a rock god in the world of music for the Philippines and I was more than happy to take a crack at the challenge, also to learn a lot about Asia, the people and wide spread influences can travel across the globe, now thanks to the internet.
