Thief of Void and the Dream Weaver dig deep.

Share

The Thief of Void asks the Dream Weaver while reading his first book, Black Amethyst, to learn how to forget his past and move forward. She encourages him to get married and think about tomorrow. He explains how it can not be though deeply he desires that it could be. He really wanted to ask her, "How can anyone woman think of loving a man after she learns of his dark past?", and what he must defend himself against.
He asks in the second panel, "How then can these two kinds of "TIME," be, when the past no longer is and the future is yet to be seen?"
(She ignores him and suggests that just because he can not find his son, he should not look at himself as a Dead-Beat Dad and he is being too hard on himself.)
He explains that he is inclined to talk about the past only in hopes of explaining how to better live in his present and future. Lest we find we fall in the trap of "Generational Curses." Which both Time Magazine and Cambridge would suggest do not exist for mankind, for we are subject to our environment, not heritage or linage, or inheritance of any divine nature.
The Time Magazine has recently published an article that begs the question, "Can bad men Change?" They don't believe that it can happen without empathy and that those that committed crimes as illustrated by Mr. 26 https://avproductionsblog.wordpress.com/2018/01/27/mr-26/ have no empathy and believe they are entitled to hurt people. Cambridge is set on passing this idea off to therapists as a real science, "Hurt People, Hurt People," and we are not born with compassion, it must be learned. They have taught the world that a child is born selfish and the male child is the most selfish being of them all, if he is not taught submission, via castration or social clipping....
Forgetting the past is not working for the Dream Weaver when he is constantly accosted by images of what his world will look like in the next ten years.

This is the first page to an illustrated short that I think can help move the Thief of Void and Dream Weaver story along. giving you different view points of the characters and what goes on in there minds.
I have a lot of singular articles you can reference about real life present day events that coincide with the topic of this first page. https://avproductionsblog.wordpress.com/2017/07/20/the-tempest/

Enjoy reading folks and I really hope you liked the art. I had a lot of fun making it.
I make reference to Thief of Void's music in the first panel, showcasing where you can go to hear her sounds. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/794429
