I did this piece for a friend. Her birthday is a few days so I really had to bang this one out. Considering how much pressure went into developing this project, I am very happy with it.
After everything I have learned about Slovenian during the process of creating this production I have developed a new respect for the people that live there.

in 1980 tito (leader of Yugoslavia) died so after that couple of people succeeded to run the country unsuccessful and the tension was escalating. in 1990 Serbians (were the ruling nation) had a massive inflation so they were borrowing a lot of money from others and raising taxes. Slovenia was the most advanced part of the country in industry and technology so the they were fed with it and also other things so they had a referendum on declaring independence and it succeeded. After Slovenia declared independence the Serbians started 10 day war on Slovenia but that ended with Brioni accords. But it only ended war in Slovenia. the war went on for years in the south because of the Serbs. quite a lot of them are either in jail or on courts because they committed war crimes - most know is Srebrenica massacre.

My friend has relatives in Bosnia and it was very horrible there (According to her). people were sooo hungry that they ate grass because they didn't had any food. so she did not really care about who actually started the war.. She is just glad it's over and people can live normal lives. but in many places you can see the impact of war like there are still many landmines in forests or damaged buildings.

I had sent out a forum requesting those that view the work to tell me of a song that comes to mind, the moment they view the image. I am really curious, what sounds resonate from the piece?

I really hope she enjoys my effort and I hope those that read this and view the art have learned something new.
