Pope Alexander II: You cannot all be the King of the English

So I decided to draw up a simple comic in MS Paint summarizing the contention over the throne of England in 1066. I tried to make things as historically accurate as possible, even going so far as to write the characters' dialogue in their respective languages (Old English, Old Norse, Old Norman, and Medieval Latin). I had help from linguists on Facebook and Discord, so thanks to them.

I hope to do more of these, stay tuned!

Oh, and this is based on a meme I found parodying a scene from the CW TV show Riverdale.
