Shadow Sega were a trio of 3 Super soldiers that were known to be created through Project Makoa beginning on January 7th 1980, with the creation of Travis Hans, and ending with the creation of Curtis Gunther a year later on January 22nd, 1981.

The Elite Soldiers that were identified to be half Robot and half Human, were mostly created through the use of 3 Deceased Humans that perished in 1980, with the exception of Curtis Gunther who perished a year later in 1981, where as a result led to the worlds first successful experiment in the reviving of the dead, while at the same time turning them into super soldiers, that were part robotic.

As a result of the legacy of Project Makoa, Shadow Sega would be using this same method in the reconstruction of their home city of Midgar, from 2017 to 2020, where the only difference between Makoa and Shadow Sega's method, was the fact of instead of turning the people of Sector 7, including Zack Fair into Super Soldiers that were part robot, Shadow Sega instead found and discovered new Materia that allowed the dead to be resurrected.

Shadow Sega as of 2021, are currently still residing in Old Midgar, during the time of the Midgar Crisis, and is currently being hunted by an unknown female mercenary.
