I will never understand why people shrink the screen. I do not believe that anybody wants a smaller screen. Just keep it the standard size. This is a black and white version of the first level of Space Invaders. It needs to have the regular colors and more than just the first level.

It's arguably better than anything I've done, but I'm not too impressed to be honest.

The bullets from your ship move far too fast and make tha game too easy.

You can't destroy the shields.

The aliens don't fire at you.

The game just stops, and doesn't even have an ending message after the level finishes.

I know it's a demo but there's a lot of stuff you'll have to sort before it finishes.

Still it's a good start. Looking forward to the finished game. :)

now, all those people that said "oh man, you put no work into this" and "this game sucks" should all just take a pill. seriously, even making a game like this, with minimal amounts of code, is still tough! maybe not for some nerds out there, but still, not everyone's a nerd. this is a good attempt for making a Space Invaders clone. my advice to the creator, make more levels, or spice it up a bit with some other enemies or shooting enemies. overall though, don't listen to those other guys, this is good. keep it up and you'll make some wicked games.

Maybe you should "tweak" the author's comments.

Something along the lines of "This is a demo-sized version of SPACE INVADERS from Atari". It is a cute little pocket-sized Space Invaders, though. You should go with it and make a tiny b/w pong and a wee pacman :) I think you would score better if you changed the author's comments though.
Constructive criticism: 1) you can't lose. They need to fire back and move a little faster. 2) I loved the little bonus spaceship! Bring him back! 3) More levels. Just the same thing, movin' a but faster. 4) in the original, the shields slowly disintengrated.
