Haha

No matter how many times I watch this series, it's always hilarious. These are the kinds of flashes I'd like to do, only never do because it'd involve effort and like...stuff. :P

It's great to see a flash that does Ranma 1/2 justice... moreover it's nice just to see a Ranma flash at all. I liked the graphics. It made it funnier (in a good way) and the uh voices... well, same with the voices. XD They were just great. Some were surprisingly accurate too.

It was just reaallly funny. I liked the part where Soun (or whatever) is all "The more things change, the more things stay the same, huh Saotome?" just...brilliant. There are no real words to describe the hilarity of this Ranma series, nor do I really have the time to comment on every funny aspect of the movie(s).

So anyway, please make more movies. Please? :D

I will try my best. THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE!!

Yes this series was hard work but I don't reccomend it. Stick with short, very short movies. I'm still trying to take that advise myself!

Also maybe it takes a long time but I love when viewers go into detail! I want to know what works.

SO THANKS AGAIN For the review!!!

...

Um... okay? That confused the hell out of me. Maybe it wuld have helped if I watched the show...?

It just confused me way too much, and the graphics aren't very good.

Well, no matter how confused it left me, it still amused me.

Dekathos responds:

Well that's sorta a compliment. Unfortunately this is one of those rare quality animes that is terribly difficult to translate to people who have never watched it before. It's not about mindless fighting or even worthless boring dialogue. Everything has a purpose and mostly every character has fairly complicated backstories.

I remember when I made this a while ago that I was thinking of the fans but put together lengthy summaries of the characters as well in hopes it could save my work from the majority of my audience who has not seen the show.

Huh?

I'm sorry. o_o But this kind of confuses me. Then again, I haven't been able to watch Ranma 1/2 yet. I figured I'ed actually learn a bit about it. I learned something at least. ^_^;; Just not interested in it anymore. Still, you just need to put a bit more effort into the voices. Half the time I didn't understand what was being said.

Dekathos responds:

I'm not sure I comprehended all that but umm..ok!

O-Kay...

I liked it, but what I don't get is, why do Ranma and Kasumi sound like actual girls, but Akane and Nabiki sound like men?

Dekathos responds:

Aaah sweet mysteries of life.

No voices done by girls by the way. I did Nabiki Male/Female Ranma Kasumi and Shampoo later on.

Kasumi is all and all the typical female voice. Nabiki on the other hand drones and is far to nasally in my mind for me to make effeminate but I tried.

Akane...

" She's built like a brick. Her thighs are too thick -she talks like a hick-- She can't even kick Her face makes me sick! Her hairs a cow lick!!"

My brother did her voice you can thank him for adding to her macho charm.

I have no prob using female voices for characters I think will benefit from them in my work.

If I was going to compare my voice acting I'd have to say it's sorta of like Trey Parker's work in South Park. How sometimes it's like he doesn't even care and just does a whole bunch of characters for the hell of it.

He'll do any voice even if he's horrible at it. Even I don't get it sometimes.

He's not that gifted an impressionist that's for sure and they have plenty of resources to find someone that is!

But for the sake of comedy or atleast the creators ideas of it... well you know.

Mostly Obnoxious

This as a few good laughs, and I think the "control your destiny" concept is pretty cool. However, I also found it annoying and got sick of it pretty quickly. I found the voice work really grating, and the animation was just a little too sloppy to be acceptable. Ultimately, this cartoon should be judged on whether it was funny or not, and unfortunately, I just didn't find myself laughing all that often. The bit about the Newgrounds porn ads was pretty good though.

Dekathos responds:

I think this review is actually pretty apt about the grating description but that's comes from someone who's had to sit through listening to the sound clips what feels like and I am certain is close to hundreds of times in order to get everything in sync. I might be biassed. Kind of like how everyone hates listening to their voice over a recording. I guess I was having to much fun and didn't worry about that kind of knit picky shit. I've never been to serious with my flash animation and the more serious I get the harder it is for me to produce anything.

Also this movie was more for the fans of the Ranma 1/2 show. I went into it not thinking anyone but them would understand this or find it enjoyable. I had almost forgotten about the joke you mentioned since I made this a while ago.

Boy I really insist on mentioning Newgrounds and poking fun of it in my work. I guess that was for the people who frequent it to get a chuckle.
