A simple, yet addictive puzzle game. I spent about 12 hours on it total (including graphics). Based on a game by Adam Pedersen. Rules are in the preloader. I chose not to add sound to keep the file size as small as possible.

If you want to compete for a high score, you can play this game at http://www.clockcrew.cc/
bbs/proarcade.php. Beware though, they've had three weeks to practice and Cadji up to 37,000 already, while ZombieClock has over 52,000! I would be interested in adding high score capability for the game here on Newgrounds as well *nudge nudge, wink wink*

Note about sound: This was a real dilemma for me, because if I didn't add sound, the biggest complaint would be that there was no sound, and if I did add sound, the biggest complaint would be that the sound is "too repetitive". I mean, I could make a little thud noise whenever a block was placed or maybe a rotate noise, and I could put in a 20 second sound loop, and people wouldn't be able to play a full game because the sound would piss them off too much. So I decided to keep the sound out so you can listen to what you want on your comp and to keep the file size down to boot.

This is just the average puzzle game. The concept is good, I've never really seen something like it, but it's still just your average puzzle game. I will give you this, once you start and get into it, it's hard to stop. You pulled off addictiveness. You could at least add levels or something to make the game more interesting. Overall, your average puzzle game, with a slight addictive twist, slightly above average.

I can see how this could be addictive, because Im addicted, sort of... THOUGH, I just didn't like it that much. It's fun, but i've seen better games on NG.
It's still good for a quick game or two, it just isnt that great when the top 50 is flooded with buckets of fun by todays standards!
Still passable, just barely in todays terms.

"OK game, not great"

I can see how this could be addictive, and it's not bad. I just didn't like it though, I've seen better games on NG. It's still good for a quick bash, just I personally wouldn't play it.

"Addictive"

date: August 23, 2003

It's another one of those addictive puzzle games. It's great for wasting time, and it's alot of fun. Grahpics could be better, and sound and music would be an improvement. It didn't feel complete to me Overall, it's a fun game, and a great way to pass the time.
