Wow. Got onto the DBZ Collections! A big THANKYOU to Tom and Wade!
Anyway, work is well underway for my next tribute, watch out for it! ;)

If you liked this animation, please give me a review, I try and reply to them all, so give me a review to let me know what you think, thanks.

Well this is my first submission to newgrounds and my first true animation now don't switch off and blam, cos this is my first animation, this isn't like the crappy first animations most submit! This is fully drawn, and well animated!
I started this in around October and throughout this animation you can see my drawing skills improving.

If you're a DBZ fan you'll LOVE this, if you're a neutral and decide to vote on how well done this is you'll find this to be good, if you hate DBZ and blam anything with DBZ in it then please, leave now.

This was a college project and we were originally supposed to do a storyboard of 4-5 (original or based on a tv show or movie of you choice, I chose a DBZ tribute) scenes and put into Flash and add some sound, smooth animation and tweens, well I done over 50 scenes with many sounds and music and I got a merit (which means I showed initiative and went beyond the set goals that had to be met) pass for this, it really is that good.

This is when Goku turns SSJ for the first time on Planet Namek, this is from the time Krillin gets blown up until the time Goku goes SSJ and Frieza is wondering: WTF?!

The music is from the Japanese and English versions of Dragonball Z. It features the original Jap theme song "Cha-la Head Cha-la" (used as main theme for this animation) by Kageyama Hironobu as well as the SSJ fight theme from the Jap DBZ. The other music is "SSJ Transformation" and "Rock the Dragon" by Bruce Falcouner. There are sound effects for lightning, rocks cracking and wave sounds and I can't remember where I found those, but credit to the creators of them.

OK some specifications for best performance:
If your PC is under 1000MHz or you are running many programs turn down the quality so the music is synched right.
If you computer is 1000MHz or higher then it should run perfectly.

Special Thanks go to John Butler, my 2D animation lecturer for helping me with the preloader and teaching me flash and also Akira Toriyama for creating DBZ!

Now, on with the show! ENJOY!

Frieza is goona get his butt kicked!

What crawled up that last guys butt? This is good. Very good. The graphics were not as good as the shows animation, but the graphics were good. It also would have been better with voices but it was still good.

P.S. way to tell the guy off!

Barry-the-SuperScot responds:

Why thankyou. Yes, the graphics aren't as good as the show but that would be obvious, eh? ;) Seems some people (Like the last guy) just can't understand this.
But my next flash improves on this in every respect! ^_^

Zero Originality!!!

All the scoring is by comparison to the originol episode! This was complete crap! There was no difference between this and the originol DBZ episode! Except that this version is poorly made by comparison. If this were originol you would have had an extremely good rating! But since this was a cut copy, you have to be campared to the originol!

Barry-the-SuperScot responds:

Oh you let yourself in for it now!

1st of all, before I rip your pathetic review to shreds allow me to tell you: Learn how to spell.

Now that that's out of the way, onto your pitiful attempt at reviewing.

If there was no difference between this and the original how was mine poorly made? You gave no reason, therefore your point is void straight away.

No originality? What did you expect clicking to watch a flash movie called "Goku goes SSJ for 1st time"? Did you expect to see a completely new thing or a *shock* recreation of that scene in Flash! Especially when I mention in my Author's comments that it is indeed a recreation of the scene in Flash! Idiot.

You said you were going to review this in comparison to the original, it seems you have no idea what this means or how to actually do it.
You DID NOT compare the graphics to the original, by giving examples WHY this isn't as good. You just say "this was complete crap" Your lack of reviewing capability is only exceeded by your lack of intelligence to put up a reasonable argument or any sort of critisism. "This was complete crap!" isn't critisism, it's just retarded.

GRAPHICS do NOT deserve a 0, they were good, got better throughout, fully drawn and animated. Not as good as the original, of course, but then, it's just a tribute.

SOUND did NOT deserve a 0, there was 4 pieces of music and also sound effects! Therefore there was sound, so your score of 0 is VOID.

INTERACTIVITY did NOT deserve a 0. There was a play button and 2 replay buttons, therefore your score is VOID.

STYLE did NOT deserve a 0, it wasn't original, yes, but it did have a loading screen, play and a replay screen. Once again your score is VOID.

To finish this off I remind you that
this is a flash TRIBUTE to that scene, it was SUPPOSED to be a copy of the scene, fuckwit.

And one more thing:
Flash by Shimdut:
- none -
Says it all really.

Now begone, fool!

very good,

the graphics were good but just like every dbz episode, it takes a very long time to get to the action of the episode but overall i was really cool

Barry-the-SuperScot responds:

Thankyou for your review. I am glad you liked it.

Just like Akira does it.

Barry drew and colored this tribute just like a pro! It was just the way the show went. This episode of Dragonball Z was probaly the most remembered one too. 10 points tops.

Barry-the-SuperScot responds:

Thankyou for the review!

This is by far the best DBZ flash I've seen by far. The shape and tones the characters have is the same as Akira does it. The graphics are smooth, and so are the colors. I wish you'd make another one soon, this was badass.

Barry-the-SuperScot responds:

I am making another one, Vegeta SSJ! I've been working on it for far too long, but it'll hopefully be finished soon!
Thanks for the review!
