October 29th update:
Multiplayer version is ONLINE!!

Tactics Core is a 100% Flash based game engine for developing Strategy RPGs in Flash. I've created a demo game to show what it can do. You'll find it quite challenging at first, but once you figure out how all the units attack, it'll be much easier. Also, if you're lucky, the most powerful unit, Daemon, might appear on your team! Visit for more info!

Thanks all for your feedback =)
As most of you have noticed, I incorporated the turn queueing system from FFT, however the battle system is more reminiscent of DK4, where you acquire many distinct units, each of which has only one specific function to make it easier to learn for a Flash game.

I have exceeded the bandwidth limit on my server so this demo is hosted on Newgrounds now, and the instructions will no longer show while it is loading.

Once again, Thank you Newgrounds =)

I LOVE this game, one of the first flash games I've ever loved and I have yet to find one that matches it.

I don't know why people are complaining that the game is too hard though. Yes the enemy has better units than you but that's why it's called "tactics". Just learn the resistances and try to hit people with their weaknesses: the sorceress has high magic defense but physical attacks destroy her easily. Likewise a couple of shots with the red mage and the tanks on the enemy team are history. Obviously prioritizing attacks matters: kill the healer first, then the sorceress, then it's painfully easy from there.

I love the easter egg where you let your cleric be the last one alive.
Too bad the multiplayer is gone.

one of my fav. games. heres a tip for some of you who cant beat it. have your cleric far away from all danger and well protected. let all your other soldiers fight the enemy to the death and cause as much damage as possible(especially to that damn cleric) and then 1 of 2 things will happen. 1. your men manage to win without using your cleric(kinda unlikely) 2. they all die BUT when that happens your cleric changes into a new unit that kicks ass all of its stats are maxed out, has wicked attack, longest range of attack, great defense/magic defense and did i mention it looks totally kick ass. anyway great game. i give it a 5

Wicked awesome

This game has great sound effects, excellent background music, and super quality art work and animation! I thoroughly enjoyed the combat engine! All around this gets 10/10 from me! It's a superb demo! Maybe I might go to the website you mentioned in your comments and play the full version of this game,

Oh and for those of you who are having trouble distinguishing friend from foe, here's how you can tell:

See those tiny pictures with the green bars beside them at the top right corner of the screen? Those are pictures of your allies, with their respective health bars. When you hold your cursor over one of the soldiers that are on the playfield you'll get a picture of the soldier's head at the bottom right corner. Then you compare the picture at the bottom right corner with the pictures that are on the top right corner. If the picture at the bottom right corner matches any of the pictures on the top right corner then he is an ally. If the picture on the bottom right corner does NOT match the one on the top right corner then he is an enemy!

Well... I don't really know how I couldv'e simplified that any further but, I hope it helped!
