Author Comments

The long awaited episode 6 of Marcus Peblo! New original music, more demons and one angry octopus! This animated short is very graphics intensive. On slower computers you might want to turn the quality of the movie to a lower setting for optimum performance.
Also coming soon to Newgrounds, Marcus Peblo Episode 7 “Time Travel Ambush!” LEAVE A REVIEW;-)You guys sleep on this one, but i have more treats to come. Understand the "MP" is the illest new ager cartoon ever! Watch it and enter another world....

Wow

I come onto Newgrounds expecting some meaningless (but funny) cartoon about Mr. T or something and I come across this. Wow, the graphics and the story. Its not what most people would consider, but this was intense. I'm not going to say that I completely understood the series, but it still keeps my mind working. Great stuff, keep it up.

Ungrateful, youth of today

First of all, to compare this movie to a Dilbert cartoon are two completely different things. A Dilbert cartoon has a crew of cartoonists, a plot writer, a director, editors, and is a comedy. This cartoon has one guy working on it. It's not a comedy, it's an adventure. Disillusioned is one of the worst things to say, as that is saying that the author has no imagination, and in this case I would highly disagree. Based on your age, Phantos, I would guess that the real reason you even used that word was because you want to sound intelligent.

Second, these graphics are actually phenomenal compared to a lot of the stick figure crap you see a lot of people send (please not I like stick figure cartoons and know I cannot do flash). The characters actually seem to have been thought out. The music was done by the same author and such original thinking is rarely seen on Newgrounds but in the best of the works. Most works use music that was written and recorded by someone else and merely add it in to their movie (again please note this is sometihng I am incapable of).

THIRD, the fact that these babies have trouble dealing with these "evil powers" gives the plot some interest. It's like cheating on video games, you can't die, you can't lose and after a while you get bored of it because it's just too easy. What good is that? If you paid ATTENTION (which I realize is something really hard to do for most younglings these days, I'm one of them) through the first five episodes, this plot moves quite nicely. Yes, they are babies. Yes, they are having trouble . Yes, they much weaker than their opponents. That's what make a story great. You have an inprobable hero/heroine and somehow get them through all their problems. Part of great stories is having to trust the author with what their throwing at you.

Lastly, I have to ask you Phantos... Where's your flash work??? HMmmmm??? If you still don't get it, than I pity that youth only has interest in all things action packed, violent, bloody, and gory. At least this has some kind of story. Thank you.

Dreadfully Dull... Zzz....

I've seen some pretty crappy flash in my time, but I've never actually FALLEN ASLEEP watching one before. This series is the most boring, uninteresting and disillusioned flash series to have it's own collection. Now hold one, I didn't say it was the worst flash movie I ever saw, but you can get more excitement out of a Dilbert cartoon than this.

The problem doesn't lie in the graphics or music(although both are average at best), rather, it lies in the fact that the story is messed up. It makes absolutely no sense, offers nothing of any interest, goes nowhere, and thinks that if you add a jungle baby using a fish as a wakeboard then it will qualify as entertainment. It doesn't.

If this is some epic quest, why did they choose powerless babies to save that wierd thing in episode 1? All they do is jump around. The white baby does nothing but make really ugly faces and jump on his bed. How is THAT contributing to the circus-train-wreck of a plot this supposedly has going?

I may never understand how very few can see that this series is a very strange waste of time.
