Attention Macross / Robotech fans, this animations storyline is an alternative version of the original.

If you haven’t watched part one, go watch it!

Also, If you like ANIME like this, when your done watching, go check out Clifton’s Zodiac series. The drawling is a bit rounded but it is well made and well planned.

Look for the green text. It explains when the flashback takes place, and when it ends, you just have to look for it. What your seeing in the flash back is Rays memory of when he and his grandpa are looking at the starts on there fishing boat when the SDF-1 first crash-lands on earth. It then swiches back to present time.

About the music:
I know it is from LOTR. I loved those movies. Their sound track is the best I have ever heard from Howard Shore! I try to get music that is really great and powerful on its won, and "write" flash to it. The animations are basically built around the structure of the music, but since there is no way for me to time everything the way I want it, I have to have very level music that is not to full of ups and downs that can land at the wrong place. This song from the LOTR sound track fit perfectly. The only alternative was the a song from the sound track of Armageddon, but it had too many ups and downs.

It is kind of odd how some people love it since it has LOTR music and some people love it because of it.

I Just read a comment that pissed me off. It suggested that I just RIPED OFF the 3D models.

EVERY single 3D model you see in the film before you was built from scratch by myself on my computer. That can be proved.
Well, enough rambling, enjoy.

I’m working on a website right now that will explain everything and have a short biography for each character in R O B O T E C H: The Great War. Once it is done, I highly advise that anyone who wants to know what is going on in Robotech TGW, should go there and read a bunch. But I know a lot of people are too lazy to do that so I will try to explain everything in the films.

Rip off

Good animation and I kinda like the style, but it didn't make any sence... I mean all of the sudden something explode's, then it blinks to a fighter thats shooting rockets... ummm... no snece, none at all.... And dude, way to rip off Lord of the Ring's, that whole thing was the sound track from the first movie.... at least find some kinda musice a little more original then LOTR.... Anyway, Liked the animation, thats about it.

What robotech is about.

Its a big jump from the first one in terms of quality and entertainment. I really enjoyed the Epic music! keep up the good work, can't wait to see the next one!

Much better!

While the quirky humour of the original is non-existent here, the highly revamped style, artwork and backgrounds more than makes up for it. The drawing and animation is really starting to come together, and I would have given this a four if it only had narratation (text really slows down and detracts from the mood of a flash movie). I liked the sound and music very much too, which isn't surprising since it's all LOTR!

That was just insanely cool !
I loved that a lot !
Nice movie, nice graphics, subtitles, main menu and all... Very nice ! I like the ship at the beginning... And when there's like a meteor crashing on earth ( I think ).
AND THE SOUND DUDE WAS AWESOME !!!! It wuz so fucking precious !!! I love that part of the LOTR movie ( with the Balrog ( that's where the sound is if anyone wonders )].
Sincerelay dude, BIG UP TO YOU, and anyone who help you make this.
I looks a bit like Deep Impact, no ?
