Attention Macross / Robotech fans, this animations storyline is an alternative version of the original.

If you haven’t watched part one, go watch it!

Also, If you like ANIME like this, when your done watching, go check out Clifton’s Zodiac series. The drawling is a bit rounded but it is well made and well planned.

Look for the green text. It explains when the flashback takes place, and when it ends, you just have to look for it. What your seeing in the flash back is Rays memory of when he and his grandpa are looking at the starts on there fishing boat when the SDF-1 first crash-lands on earth. It then swiches back to present time.

About the music:
I know it is from LOTR. I loved those movies. Their sound track is the best I have ever heard from Howard Shore! I try to get music that is really great and powerful on its won, and "write" flash to it. The animations are basically built around the structure of the music, but since there is no way for me to time everything the way I want it, I have to have very level music that is not to full of ups and downs that can land at the wrong place. This song from the LOTR sound track fit perfectly. The only alternative was the a song from the sound track of Armageddon, but it had too many ups and downs.

It is kind of odd how some people love it since it has LOTR music and some people love it because of it.

I Just read a comment that pissed me off. It suggested that I just RIPED OFF the 3D models.

EVERY single 3D model you see in the film before you was built from scratch by myself on my computer. That can be proved.
Well, enough rambling, enjoy.

I’m working on a website right now that will explain everything and have a short biography for each character in R O B O T E C H: The Great War. Once it is done, I highly advise that anyone who wants to know what is going on in Robotech TGW, should go there and read a bunch. But I know a lot of people are too lazy to do that so I will try to explain everything in the films.

almost perfect

The only place that you need to improve is sound. As much as I like LOTR, you should be more original or at least obscure. Possibly add some voice acting and you've got yourself a flick.

I think the only reason you got this far is because you are using Robotechs nostalgic effect because we all know how one of your own created works would turn out......BLAMMED!........moving on to your use of something thats already popular......uhm yeah stop please dude you insult Robotech with such horrid submissions please I am begging you now, stop.

Nanashi responds:

Yes! Another moron to make fun of! Thank you god! YES! Two of my animations have been blamed… 2! OMG! Wow, I sure do suck for an A+ rated artist with an average score of 3.52. Hummm… I think that would make you the minority. You and your opinion that is. Disgrace robotech eh? Well I doubt it should be called a disgrace to Robotech, seeing as how asked me to submit it to there website, and I still get reviews from Robotech fans who love it. True fans have a tendency to like it because it reminds them of the show, not because it is in any way equal to it. Then you get the people who don’t have a creative cell in they’re body and can’t control there envy and jealousy over the fact that I am able to express my ideas in visual animation, and they are not. I have been hear years longer than you, and you have the audacity to try and criticize me? Ha! Wow, well there Mr no animations, lets see you make something.

Would've scored better if you had actual voices for the dialogue and DIDNT use music from the LOTR masterpieces.

I thought it was pretty good.

I thought it ran pretty well, It could have been better, but this was good enough. to the future viewer: All it really is, is a big battle so if you dont like that type of stuff, than dont bother viewing it. Personally I dont recommend you watch the series, then the classic series and movie all in a row, its starting to bore me
