Loses something in animation. Voices ruin humor.

I love 9-bit Theater, but this animation doesn't work for me. The voices utterly ruin all of the humor. Instead of being quirky and edgy, like the strip, it turns out hokey and dry. The animators should have merely animated and added sounds and music, but NOT recorded voices. Besides, 8-Bit games didn't HAVE voices! We had to read them. THAT is part of the humor of 8-Bit Theater. Great effort here, but the voice work kills all the comedy.

How does everybody love this?

I don't get why this is such a popular movie. The comic it's based on is a pretty sweet comic, but this flash is just poor. Good sprite work, but the recorded voices got really annoying, as they were low quality and every once in a while there would be a huge fuzzy noize. It would be funnier if it just had text to explain what they were saying, because the voices used in the flash, in my opinion, didn't match the characters that well, and they really got annoying, especially the black mage's. The only actual funny part I can think of was the "eclipse" part. The intro was pretty cool though. This flash could be alot better, but it's ok.

This tries way to hard to be funny

This movie IMO tries WAY too hard to be funny. Half of the humor sounds like somthing my dad might find funny, but that's about it.
But everyone else seems to like it so there isn't much I can say...
