This was my first Flash project, started with no knowledge of Actionscript, and learned it while I worked on this.
Requires Flash Player 9. A bug in Flash Player 8 causes the game to freeze.
Other than the lag on my comp this was awesome!! It was like turning on my super nintendo!!

Ok, while I'm still fresh in the moment of anger, I"m giong to state things other players should know and will moste likely feel after playing this. For one, you have definitely got to work out the problem with megaman getting hit in the air. It sux cuz most of the time, your right next to a wall, but you can't save yourself by wall jumping back up; megaman is frozen with the hit alllll the way down. Ok, I could deal with that at first, but after a while...<shiver>. All that was fine and dandy, but when it came time to fight Bass, that's where a big problem arose that needs to be fixed. Fighting Bass is a pain in the ass, cuz it's a one shot thing. If you're killed, there's no comming back. The game keeps going on, with Bass flying around the screen. I had to restart thing game a few times b/c of this. And also, I WARN PLAYERS, when you fight Bass, STAY AWAY FROM THAT DAMN DOOR!!!! The game will glitch out and you'll be stuck in there. Please fix this. One more thing. I had sound on and everything, but after Bass blew up, that was it...megaman just stood there. Is that supposed to happen? Ok, sorry for writing such a long review on all that. Aside from that stuff, you had a great game here. Love the music. Can't wait for the real version to come out :D
I'm sorry about some of those annoyances. The door glitch didn't happen to me when I playtested it before release. Sorry about that one, I'll look into it and upload a fixed version.
After being killed by Bass, you should respawn back at the beginning again. I've tested this myself many times. I'll continue to search for any bugs in that code, however.
What pose were you in when you beat Bass? That might help me find the problem. E-mail me with the answer, plz.

If not for the ugly lag I got on my 1.2ghz PC which is wayyyy over the requirements of a pent3 500. Tweak it up some & fix that problem. Default controls kinda sucky too but you can reconfigure which is good. I noticed you took some of the sprites from Megaman 9 which didn't fit in too well in the "x series".
Good effort & good game. Just fix up that sluggishness. Not everyone has a ton of bucks to buy a high grade PC to make this run smooth :P
I use a Duron 850 with 248MB RAM and an 8MB onboard video card. It runs fine for me, and I have no idea why people are having huge lag problems on such powerful systems.
The engine I will be using for Megamissions will be much more efficient than this one, rest assured.
whoa.. that was pretty cool
This is some good stuff man.. though, the gameplay was still sluggish on my 1.5Ghz Athalon with 1.09GB of ram, and some of the sprites need to be tweaked.. just so they fit in with the environment better. Overall, pretty good.
