I tried to respect him...really I did. However, it seriously seems to me that he and his fans all kinda have the same mentality. Most people I know that like the band do tons of drugs, and Dave does drugs. You can't say that isn't a pattern...he indirectly promotes fucking up one's mind. That's not good. Also (this next part is the main inspiration for making this in the first place), I was hated by some people back in college "solely" because of the fact that I didn't like DMB. I didn't make fun of him yet, mind you! I just politely said that his music isn't my cup of tea...and they took my opinion and shoved it about 5 feet into my ass. You can imagine what happened when I tried talking about the music *I* like (and for the record, I don't just listen to metal, I listen to a lot of genres).
Keep in mind, I do realize that not all people who listen to DMB act like this (thank the gods). You actually respect my taste in metal, so you seem to be one of the few DMB fans that don't fit the mold. For that, :: clasps hands together and bows :: I salute you. :)
